The Ellipse Superlight (IPL) system is a safe and effective treatment to remove unwanted hair from all areas of the body. The revolutionary process uses ‘Intense Pulsed Light’, which is absorbed by hair pigment (melanin) to disable the follicle.
The most effective results are seen where there is a pronounced distinction between hair and skin colour. Those with light skin with dark hair will enjoy faster, more effective results; however Ellipse has pre- programmed settings for different hair and skin colours which adjusts energy outputs to suit individual requirements.

Acne is caused by over-production of hormone androgen, which stimulates the sebaceous glands to produce excessive amounts of oil. This oil becomes trapped beneath skin’s surface, and as bacteria fight to break down the oil the sebaceous glands become inflamed and infected, producing acne.
During the Ellipse ILP treatment, light is absorbed by the haemoglobin in the blood, and converted to heat, which causes a minor injury to sebaceous glands and slows down the overproduction of oil that leads to acne.
